What Is Social Steeze?
Social Steeze was a company whose main objective was to grow IG accounts through a bunch of automated actions.
They believed this is the way to Instagram glory, but, as it turns out – it’s not.
I’m not really shocked since this kind of automation doesn’t provide organic growth. It’s no secret that any other type of growth besides organic is either unsafe or inefficient.
So what happened? Why did Social Steeze shut down?
In 2018, they got sued by Facebook for violating Instagram’s terms of use. (Facebook owns Instagram, in case you didn’t know).
And you’d think that was it, but no – there’s more.
Social Steeze continued relentlessly to operate in full capacity, completely ignoring the suit.
But what the company would soon find out is that they messed with the wrong conglomerate. Facebook sued them again, and the second lawsuit led to the complete shutdown of Social Steeze.
How Social Steeze Works?
Since Social Steeze couldn’t escape Facebook’s wrath, there’s no way to try it out. I did, however, manage to find loads of reviews on sites like Trustpilot and Sitejabber, so I can tell you how it used to work.
Based on the negative sentiment of most reviews, Social Steeze didn’t work very well. To quote one Trustpilot review: “it was great until it was horrible.”
Once you started using the service, it seemed completely alright. The followers would start pouring in, and everything was coming up roses.
But then you’d start to realize most of your new followers were fake accounts, i.e., bots.
On top of that, there’d be too much bot activity on your profile.
I mentioned that this tool performed automated tasks such as auto follow and auto like. It worked continuously, and that sort of bot behavior raised the alarm with Instagram.
Next thing you know, your account gets banned for excessive bot activity.
Features Of Social Steeze
Social Steeze offered a few basic features. Let’s see what they were.
Targeting Audience
The tool would follow and like posts based on the previously adjusted features. Once you sign up, the next step would be to set the filters to fit your niche.
The filters included hashtags, geotags, and you also had the option to add IG handles of users from your niche, and Social Steeze would follow their followers.
Similarly, you could also blacklist users. When you added a specific username to the list, Social Steeze would avoid them.
This is where Social Steeze failed the most – instead of adhering to the filters, it would just follow accounts randomly, resulting in a bunch of bots appearing on your profile.
Automated Tasks
The aforementioned filters were supposed to help the tool know who to follow and like.
Automated likes had a problem of its own. Social Steeze would often like so many posts in a short period that your account would end up action blocked.
That’s when Instagram figures out there’s a bot at hand and temporarily blocks you from performing actions such as liking.
This is a warning that they’re onto you, and the next time you might not be so lucky to “just” get action blocked – your account might actually get banned.
Pricing Of Social Steeze
While it worked, Social Steeze didn’t offer any kind of free trial. If you wanted to try it, you had to pay. So, how much did they charge?
The service had two tariff packages – Regular and Elite. You could purchase a weekly, monthly, or yearly subscription.
The Regular plan cost $15/week, $99/month, and $499/year. This one included all the features I mentioned in the Features section.
The Elite package was priced at $25/week, $99/month, and $669/year. Besides the basic features, this deal also included access to priority customer support. Having to pay more for customer support is kind of shady, wouldn’t you agree?
Speaking of CS, most reviews complained it was actually non-existent, even with the Elite package. The unresponsive customer support is a real cherry on top of an already disastrous cake.
Is Social Steeze Legit, Safe, Or A Scam?
I cannot say that this company was legit. Too many reviews state that it was impossible to unsubscribe.
Even if you managed, they would continue to charge for the service. And any attempt to complain to CS was completely ignored.
So, no, Social Steeze wasn’t a legit deal, and by extension, it wasn’t safe either. The two lawsuits speak for themselves.
