What Is Kicksta?
Let me start with a proverb – Not everything that shines is gold.
Kicksta is a pretty popular Instagram growth service, hence the “shine” metaphor. If you’ve ever looked for such a service, I’m sure that you’ve stumbled upon Kicksta.
OK, so what does it do?
As you can assume, the company is in the business of boosting Instagram accounts. Their tool is an automated post liker that, well, likes posts instead of you.
I initially thought there was more to it, but apparently, I was wrong.
The issue here is that Kicksta’s approach is mostly ineffective. I’ll explain why in a bit.
You don’t need to go further than Trustpilot.com to realize this. Kicksta’s rating on this review website is a mere 3 stars.
The users were lured in by the company’s promises and then disappointed by its actions.
It may seem like I’m going all out on Kicksta here, which is not my intention. This service is far from the worst I’ve seen, but just as far from the best.
I’m afraid that their hay day is over and that they’re living off old fame. There are numerous reasons why I say this, all of which I’ll discuss in the upcoming sections.
Now, let’s see how Kicksta functions from the inside out.
How Does Kicksta Work?
As I mentioned earlier, Kicksta automatically likes posts on one’s behalf. It lets you target the people whose uploads you want to like and then proceeds to do it. Ideally, your like won’t go unnoticed, and it’ll draw some IG users to your profile.
Ever heard about “like 4 like”? Yeah, that’s basically Kicksta’s gameplan.
The problem with this approach is that it is too limited. It usually falls short of producing any relevant growth. To boost an Instagram account, you also need to comment, follow, view – the whole nine yards. This just isn’t possible with Kicksta.
But this isn’t the only issue.
While Kicksta doesn’t use bots per se, it’s still classified as an automation tool. In case you didn’t know, Instagram doesn’t really like this stuff. If it detects that you’re using it, the platform may punish you. Most automation “offenders” get action-blocked, but some get banned.
Kicksta Features
From what I’ve written so far, you can conclude that Kicksta isn’t a super complex tool. And that’s exactly right. Even though it has only a few features, it’s crucial to know all about them. Check them out below:
Post Liker
The automatic post liker is Kicksta’s backbone. There isn’t much to say about it that hasn’t been said already. The feature likes posts of users that you targeted. Harmless, right? Wrong.
Instagram has something called daily activity limits. This refers to the number of actions an account can make a day and not raise any suspicion with the platform.
Well, Kicksta tries not to exceed those limits to avoid getting you in trouble. However, this leads to another problem. The service doesn’t produce enough engagement to achieve growth. Your account just stays stuck in this stagnant cycle where nothing happens, if you’re lucky.
Despite its limited actions, Kicksta still managed to get some of its users blocked. I guess Instagram’s algorithm is getting way too sophisticated to fool.
Targeting and Filters
Before Kicksta starts liking away, it needs some pointers. You can provide them through the service’s targeting options. This feature allows you to pinpoint your target audience.
Here’s the information that you can enter:
- Instagram accounts whose followers you want to target
- Hashtags relevant to your niche
- Locations
But wait, that’s not all.
Kicksta has a way of blocking accounts that you don’t want to interact with. It’s got filters that detect fake or undesirable profiles, such as those containing porn. Also, you can compose a blacklist of usernames that you don’t want anywhere near you.
OK, here comes the cold water – these options are not so good.
It appears that they don’t work as well as Kicksta’d like you to think. According to some user reviews, Kicksta liked some inappropriate accounts despite the blacklists and smart filters. Apparently, the app did it relatively often.
Such actions could seriously endanger your reputation.
Analytics
The service has a pretty cool analytics dashboard. You can use it to track the tool’s activity and see if you’ve made any progress. I feel bad for this feature because it’s kind of the odd one out. It’s well designed and could be useful if the other features produced results (which they don’t).
Pricing of Kicksta
Kicksta offers two monthly subscription plans – Standard and Premium. Here’s what they look like:
The Premium plan has a lot more options than the Standard. It is perhaps the only that’s worth trying since I doubt that Standard will get you anywhere.
However, paying 99 bucks a month for a glorified post liker isn’t very wise. I don’t care how advanced the targeting is – this method is just too slim.
On the upside, there’s a two-week free trial available. I’d recommend it to those who want to give Kicksta a shot real bad. The trick here is that you’ll have to provide your CC details to get to the trial. I’m not sure whether you’ll get charged automatically after it expires, but it’s likely so.
Is Kicksta Safe, Legit, or a Scam?
Kicksta isn’t totally illegitimate or unsafe. However, there is a fat dose of risk involved with using it.
The company seems to have gotten caught in a downward spiral. Their customers have brought up numerous issues on Trustpilot.com.
For instance, some people had a gruesome time trying to connect their Instagram profiles to the app. Reaching the support team is a matter of luck more than anything else. The automation seems to function alright, but it doesn’t produce results.
Also, there are some safety concerns related to using Kicksta.
I’ve already mentioned, Kicksta may get you blocked, but this isn’t the worst part.
Quite a few users said how they weren’t able to unsubscribe from the service. Money was taken off of their accounts until they contacted the bank and explained the situation. Some folks even had to cancel their CC.
Top Kicksta Alternatives
I’m sure that you’ve realized by now that Kicksta isn’t as good as it appears to be. It would be smart to try and find an alternative. Luckily, there are many options to choose from, and here are some of the top ones.

Kicksta Review: Should You Use It or Not?
Let’s face it, folks – Kicksta’s time is over. The company is either unable or unwilling to adapt to Instagram’s fast-paced changes. This puts them in a situation where they’re trying to profit off of old fame.
The tool is not effective and can’t do what it claims it can. Moreover, it made people lose money long after they stopped using it.
Instead of wasting another second reading about Kicksta, go and get yourself a credible organic growth service. There are quite a few of them, so it won’t be hard to find one.
