What Is FollowAdder?
FollowAdder is an app that is supposed to grow your Instagram following. It has to be downloaded onto your desktop PC in order to use it.
That being said, it’s supported on Windows (64-Bit Windows 7 or later) and Mac OS (64-Bit OS X 10.10.5 or later). Linux users will have to stick to the beta version of the tool for now. You can install FollowAdder on multiple devices once you purchase one of their subscriptions.
I haven’t tried the beta version, but considering that the software for Windows and Mac did not perform well, I can assume the same goes for it.
The installation file itself will take up just around 19 MB, while you need to allocate 85.5 MB for the app itself. So, it doesn’t consume much of your disk space. Also, it wasn’t deemed an unrecognized file by Windows Defender, which is often the case with this kind of tool.
Skootle Corporation is behind the whole app, according to the file. When I did some research on them, I found out that they specialize in social network marketing software. But guess what: they had a legal dispute with Twitter for spam and abusive behavior.
Sure – it was for a Twitter tool of theirs – but can an Instagram bot be much better?
Straight up: no.
I’ve had many troubles while using FollowAdder, which I can attribute to their spammy practices.
All of this happened to my disappointment because FollowAdder had a promising official website with a detailed FAQ section and tutorial videos.
Does FollowAdder Still Work?
I’ve mentioned that I wasn’t quite satisfied with the performance of FollowAdder.
To answer the question above – FollowAdder does work in the sense that you can run it, and it will automate your Instagram actions. But it doesn’t work in the way it’s supposed to, and it will inevitably get your account banned.
The thing is that they claim that Instagram’s limit is 7,500 followers and that they try to stay under this limit by interacting with an optimized amount of “quality” accounts.
But this is far from the truth. Instagram will detect bot activity from your account.

As FollowAdder is primarily an Instagram bot (although it’s not specified explicitly on their site), it should perform IG tasks instead of you:

- Follow and unfollow them
- Comment on others’ posts
- Send automatic DMs
The problem is that they exaggerate with all these actions. They are trying to get you as many followers as possible so that you think the tool works amazing, but all you get is your actions blocked. And your account banned from time to time.
I tried it with multiple IG accounts, and sooner or later, all were shadowbanned due to FollowAdder.
Filters
Audience targeting – you are probably familiar with this strategy.
FollowAdder uses keywords, location, and hashtags (which are indeed some pretty common parameters), but fails to incorporate them into its service. The result is that your account will be packed with fake account followers.
Post Scheduler
What should be a secret weapon of FollowAdder – considering that not all Instagram bots sport a post scheduler – is just another downfall.
It’s too difficult to set up, even though you just need to transfer photos from your PC into the tool’s database.
A post scheduler should save your time by preparing posts in advance and putting them out instead of you, but FollowAdder’s scheduler just makes it more complicated.

The differences in the price are vast (the cheapest package is $49.99, and the most expensive one is $425 for a 6-month subscription). Naturally, you’d expect striking differences among the features. But the only difference across the packages is the number of IG profiles you can manage.
And the fact that there are only plans for six months seems like a forceful tactic to me. They make you commit to their services for half a year, with no possibility to cancel the subscription.
That said, there is a 7-day money-back guarantee, but good luck with that, as their CS is unresponsive. And if you can’t reach them, you won’t get your money back.
Is Follow Adder Safe? Or Is It A Scam?
Short and clear: FollowAdder is a scam.
They are advertising features that don’t function, and the bot will put your account at risk.
The subscription is definitely not worth it, but the worst part is that you won’t be able to get a refund if you buy it, and you’ll be stuck for 6 months with the tool that doesn’t work.
