If you’ve hoped to try an Instagram service called Social10x, I have to disappoint you – it went to the wall a while ago. 

It’s not the first time a social media service flatlined. In fact, many of them go belly up cause they violate Instagram’s (i.e., Facebook’s) terms of use. Some of them even get sued and shut down by Facebook, so you can imagine how illegal their service was. 

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked to elaborate on the Social10x scam, so I’ve decided to gather my thoughts and pour them into this super thorough Social10x review.

What Is Social10x?

The correct way to pose this question is – what WAS Social10x?

I mentioned earlier that this company shut down for good. Before I get into the details of its demise, let me tell you first what it was.

However, it’s only available on the web archives, and if you try to visit social10x.com now, here’s what you’ll see:

As I told you, Social10x is gone for good.

Back in the day, Social10x was an Instagram marketplace where you could purchase IG followers, likes, and comments. 

Sounds like a typical Instagram growth service business model, so what went wrong? 

Let’s break it down to see where Social10x messed up.

Followers 

You had the chance to buy up to 5,000 IG followers from Social10x. They were rather cheap as the largest package went for $29. 

Besides deals for one-time purchases, Social10x also had something called “premium monthly Instagram followers.” 

You could subscribe to this deal and receive up to 1,500 followers each month. These were more expensive, hence the name “premium,” although there was nothing premium about them. 

As it turns out, Social10x sold FAKE followers. It didn’t take a lot to figure this out as the people who bought the followers said each account had a suspicious name, no photos, and no content – the three staples of bot accounts. 

Phony followers were a huge issue when Social10x actually delivered what they promised. Many times they failed to deliver entirely – I’ll show you the receipts in a sec.

Likes 

The likes included two types: one-time likes and auto-likes. The former applied to a post of your selection, while the latter would arrive on each new photo you post.

I didn’t manage to find plenty of info regarding the likes, only that 1,000 of one-time likes went for $59. 

This is not affordable when you consider a thousand likes won’t get you that far. 

Comments

Very few reviews mention purchasing comments from Social10x, but they all agree on one thing: 

The comments were undoubtedly the worst feature. 

Not only were they from fake accounts, but they also made no sense and were obviously written up by poor quality AI. 

To make matters worse, this was the most pricey feature of Social10x and the one they were particularly proud of. The cost of 25 comments was 59 USD. Let that sink in.

There was the chance to try Social10x for free, but it was nothing spectacular – it certainly didn’t give you the real taste of what this service actually is.

All these shortcomings led to the inevitable demise of the company. But what exactly happened? Time to find out. 

What Happened To Social10x?

According to the Internet, Social10x shut down back in 2019. And yet, we’re still talking about it. Why is that?

Truthfully, it doesn’t hurt to read about failed Instagram services. It shows us what NOT to do, and it teaches us about all the red flags we should look for in the future. 

After I started digging for Social10x reviews, it didn’t take a long time to find out that Facebook sued this company for employing bots and selling fake followers and likes. 

Although this tells us all that we need to know about Social10x, I didn’t stop there. 

I kept digging on trustworthy sites for honest customer reviews, and here’s what I discovered. 

There are only 20 Social10x reviews on Trustpilot, and they’re either excellent or extremely bad. 

The 75% are 1-star reviews, while the rest are glowing 5-star reviews that speak greatly about the company. 

If you take a closer look, you’ll see that the positive reviews are short and vague, something like this: 

None of the good reviews speak about the features that work, while the horrible reviews tell us about all the wrong things. 

For instance, one customer says all the followers they gained through Social10x were FAKE.

They say how all the followers were obviously bot accounts based in Asia and that Instagram removed them after a while. 

When the client complained to customer support, they completely disregarded him. 

Sometimes the company simply failed to deliver, as this one customer says:

Selling fake followers is not all Social10x did. 

Are you ready for this one?

The company kept charging their clients even when they weren’t able to deliver the service and refused to allow them to unsubscribe. 

If this is not a definition of a scam, I don’t know what is. 

Where Did Social10x Go Wrong?

Social10x made plenty of mistakes and thought they’d get away with it, but they’ve clearly messed with the wrong crowd. 

Facebook has zero tolerance and patience to deal with companies such as Social10x so they take them straight to court. 

And who do you think is going to win? A multi-billion conglomerate or a small Insta growth service that broke their rules? It’s a no-brainer.

The fact that I couldn’t find a single thing to put in the pros column tells you all you need to know about Social10x. 

This company broke many rules, and they suffered the consequences. 

It’s a good thing that Facebook is getting rid of such blatant scams. Not only does it make the industry safer, but it also leaves more place for trustworthy services to thrive. 

Social10x is just another scam service that ceased to exist, and I think I speak for all when I say they won’t be missed.
